The Chapter Concludes

How's it going everyone, we have had a great last few months. Following the release of “Stand on Bastion” we at Scars Tell Stories released a live video with professional production. Now we have released a new single called “Peachy” to all major streaming platforms. Also, we know how visual people are, so we also released it with a music video! All this to say we wanted to show you all how serious we are about respecting your support. We'll keep pushing forward thanks to the encouragement we get from so many people. Thank you! After our trip to Missouri, 

we sat on a nest egg of videos and audio from the team at MoonTown Sound. After refining the kit, we waited for the perfect time to share it with you all. Stand on Bastion is Here

After a long road of mixing, scheduling shoot time, and setting up the whole dang thing our new single “Stand on Bastion” has arrived with our promised music video! A lot of work went into making this day happen and we want to thank everyone who supported us through the pains of this journey. It truly is a labor of love and hopefully all that effort resonated. Stand for something, be a voice and Stand on Bastion!!!

First Quarter in the Books

Boy these first few months of 2026 have been wild. While we have had a great start with shows branching from home to the Midwest, we've also been hard at work behind the scenes. If you caught us on Wolfman's streams, you might have an idea of what's up. With that said, we're not quite ready to broadcast everything. But what we will tell you is that you're in the right place to stay up front on what's cooking up. As a matter of fact, let's see who visits this page and pays attention.

Big Things Coming?

You know what's great about a band that has a Mass Communication/ Digital Cinematography master in their ranks? Well, media of course! Specifically, our first music video is set to drop with lots of promo material to follow! That's right, our first music video and single are dropping April 6th at midnight. Welcome to The Year of the Cryptids

With the holidays fully recovered from, we're well on our way to make 2026 a success! Our first show announcement is on the way, but beyond that there's much more in the works. Stay updated via our socials links for which are at the bottom of our web page!

Looks like we're booking a lot more in these past few days than we've had time to announce! Our show with Paralandra was a delight and doors have been cracking open. 

You're gonna wanna pay attention to our show listings be sure to tell a friend to join our mailing list. There could be specials on the horizon. But for now, we are in the acts of planning out these next shows. Promotions are coming soon!

What a Ride

It's been an excellent year y'all. We released an EP, played all of the state, and completed multiple goals we've set for ourselves. That said, we have begun setting new goals for next year and considered the steps it would take to get us in position to start. What we didn't expect?

Show #13

We definitely weren't expecting it, but our friends at Legends Nightclub in Mountain Home have invited us out to open for Paralandra (Springfield, MO Metal Powerhouse) November 7th.

This is going to be our 13th show of the year. If you know us, that's a lucky number! It's only fitting that we have, possibly, our last show back at a venue that absolutely blew us away! The hospitality, stage, and staff we're elite and possibly the best we've experienced this year. We're excited to make out return there, and meeting a touring band like Paralandra seems like a dream. Check out their videos and vlogs for sure, they have such a dorky, fun energy!

If the year was to end for us there, it'd be satisfying. Studio is in the near future after that, so stay up-to-date and we'll see you there!

The band has been hard at work playing show after show, securing exclusive show merch and dancing with Cryptids. Keeping up with blogs has slipped a little in priority but we're still here to keep y'all up to date.

Our last night for The Cryptid Disco is tomorrow at Nomads Trailside in Fayetteville, AR. It's gonna be another night of awesomeness for sure. Photos from Kurt Lunsford are due to post today from Night 1. Be sure to check our photo section and let us know what you think! Until next time y'all.

It's almost been a week since our show at West End in Fayetteville, and it feels like just yesterday we woke up from a fantastic night! Post show daze is real, but that won't stop us. 

There's plenty more shows down the pipeline. Heck, we're even experimenting with new merch designs too! Stick around, you're going to like the way we work.

We braved a rough winter but never stopped doing what we love. With that being said, we are so excited for everything we have developing in the coming weeks. Thanks everyone who made it out to our show at Full Moon in Conway, AR last night! It was cold outside, but we brought the heat for y'all inside. We were happy to share the stage with all the other bands and will definitely be in contact with them again.
