Who We Are
a STS background
Scars Tell Stories fully formed into who you see now in July of 2023.
Each of the five members have been in bands or performed music in some form for years before that point. Make no mistake, this band is a connected group of veteran musicians. They've all either been in projects together or shared a stage together in different groups.
Through each of these previous experiences they've learned and adapted. Effectively, they've applied those changes for this band.
Like the Avengers, they were gathered together by rhythm guitarist Daniel “S.K. ” Irvin and drummer Jordan "J-Rock" Weems. After months of planning, they formulated a vision for what could be. Driven, they recruited each one of the following members to form a band purely out of who was the best fit. Not just as musicians but as genuine people.
They're classified as a Southern Metalcore band. You will hear influences of not just Hard Rock and Metal, but also roots of Blues, Gospel, Classical, as well as Hip-hop & R&B. Recently, they've successfully branched out of the "Local" category into a "Regional" act. After playing shows and receiving considerable streams in the Midwest and the South, this crew has they're eyes on expanding even further. Their evolution into full length music videos and quality focused content is at the forefront of achieving their goal of becoming a "National" act.
